Become a Member of the Design South Dakota Team!

design:SD is a new way to help rural communities across South Dakota create a better future by design. AIA South Dakota and The Rural Learning Center invite you to give of your time and expertise to help South Dakota’s small towns gather and illustrate ideas and visions for their future.

The Deuel County, SD region will become temporary home to the design:SD team March 25-28, 2009. If you care about South Dakota’s rural places and have design or community development expertise, you can join other professionals on a three-day charrette to design, plan and dream with the people of the Deuel County region. We’ll begin with a social gathering and orientation on the evening of Wednesday, March 25, and finish with a public presentation on Saturday morning. No charrette or design experience is necessary.

Lodging and meals will be provided, and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
